Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron

As a mother of 6, I have gone through many irons. Most fail within a matter of months or don't meet all of my many needs for the diverse ironing I do. This iron has features not found on many other irons and is easy to use. It glides across a variety of fabrics with ease and never sticks. I no longer use starch thanks to the steam boost. The easy-to-read water tank and temperature setting are a plus! The aout on/off feature is great! This iron will be around for quite sometime.

My B & D (D2030) is working well and it removes wrinkles a quicker and easier, than other irons I've had (more costlier ones from Ger.)that are a lot heavier and continually spit water. I usually do wife's (no dresses)and my clothes, therefore, up till now, I would highly recommend the D2030. CWB

Ironing is a boring task made worse by inefficent tools
My new iron:-
Has a large clear water chamber
Heats to the required temperature and tells me when temp is reached
Steam irons clothes rather than depositing random pools of water
Turns off the heat if I get called away from the task
Makes ironing quicker :)

The Black and Decker digital iron is fantastic--no leaks (yet). It is a heavy iron, but glides smoothly and the weight makes ironing fast and almost fun. The weight means only one pass--not multiple--to eliminate most wrinkles. The digital temperature setting is easy to use and the iron heats up very rapidly. The water door is a bit flimsy, but with reasonable care, should offer no problems. The cord does get in the way and its attachment at the iron could provide a "lift" to get it out of the ironing path. Overall, this is the absolutely best iron I have owned. I usually purchase a new iron every two years because of leaks or just plain dissatisfaction. As long at this one does not leak, I can't imagine changing brands or models for a long time.

I did some research on irons and this rated very well and at a great price. And this iron is both.
